“It is pivotal to understand the customers’ demands and trends in their requirements. Some visitors prefer first-class independent accommodation, or the modest-sized boutique hotels providing more personalised guest services, rather than spending their holiday in a big chain establishment. So it is necessary for owners of the smaller hotels to get the correct market focus,” a TCT representative said.
The THA (Thai Hotels Association) recently announced that within the next two years over 20,000 new guestrooms will be available across Thailand. According the THA competition between the hotel operators is going to be more intense and owners will have to be creative and invent new strategies to draw more guests. One of the latest establishments in the ‘land of smiles’ using the help of an international marketing company is the Indigo Pearl in Phuket. The firm named WorldHotel assists this hotel with general marketing drawing international customers.
WorldHotel is already working with about 80 other resorts and hotels as well, including establishments in Chiang Mai, Krabi, Bangkok, Hua Hin and Pattaya.
