Jomtien Beach tourist facilities

Located directly south of Pattaya, Jomtien Beach is a popular family holiday destination and houses a large population of expatriates and western retirees. The nightlife here is much calmer and less sleazy compared to Pattaya

Most tourists to Jomtien Beach arrive from Bangkok by bus, taxi or minivan at Pattaya’s bus station. Transport between the bus terminal and Jomtien is provided by song-teaws, which are pick-up trucks that have been converted into taxis. For a fee between 20 and 100 baht, depending on the ride’s distance, they transport visitors to locations across Jomtien and Pattaya. You should roughly know where your final destination is as the buzzer needs to be pressed, as soon as the vehicles reaches your intended stop.

Jomtien Beach is almost four miles long and is particularly favoured among Thai families enjoying a day out. Beach chairs can be hired for 20 baht per day. Along Jomtien Road you will find numerous restaurants and shops. Jomtien boasts a wide range of tourist amenities:

The Hardbody Fitness Gym is located on Thappraya Road, Jomtien. This non-air-conditioned gym is opened every day from 08:30 to 21:00.

The kids will love Pattaya Park, located at Jomtien’s northern end on Dongtan Beach. The facility features a large water park with large slides and a tower, which houses a fine restaurant that offers a stunning view of Pattaya.

Positioned on Jomtien Beach Road Soi 14, you can find the Jomtien Fishing Park. Fees include 200 baht for a rented rod and 100 baht for your own rod. They’ll also prepare your catch here!

Also on Jomtien Road is Paintball World.

You might want to play some bowling at the Jomtien Bowl, which is housed in the Jomtien Resort on Jomtien Beach Road. The bowling is opened daily from 10:00 to 02:00 and features eight lanes.
