Famous all over the world for its pulsating sex industry, the seaside resort of Pattaya has long been a travel destination for those mainly looking for a real good time. We’ve probably all seen the shirts with the printed “good guys go to heaven and bad guys go to Pattaya” text on it. But what is it exactly that draws so many gay holidaymakers to this never-sleeping seaside resort? The correct answer is, obviously, the naughty nightlife scene.

In recent years the homosexual scene in Pattaya has grown significantly with numerous pubs and bars catering mainly to gay customers, not to mention the hugely favoured cabaret shows starring lady-boys. These unique shows add a Moulin Rouge atmosphere to the otherwise largely sleazy resort town and make for an unforgettable happening for numerous gay males who visit here especially for the lady-boys.

Pattaya’s nightlife with its spacious zone solely dedicated to gay entertainment often overwhelms first-time lesbian and gay travellers. The neon-lit district of Pattayaland soi 3 is filled with male go-go venues and nightclubs, which attract mainly western customers but also large numbers of curious punters and tourists looking and willing to pay for erotic services.

Boyz Boyz Boyz is another popular gay nightlife area that attracts both locals and foreigners with its nightly performances and spacious dance floor, while the Throb/Splash nightclub located opposite Le Cafe Royal is a reputed ‘gay& lesbian’ hotel.
