Markets in Pattaya

If you are already in Thailand, you have discovered that the majority of Thai people shop in the markets and you will find markets in place in Thailand that you will visit. Pattaya has some recommendable markets outlined below.

-       Thepprasit weekend market: – This market is located in Thepprasit road about 5 minutes away from Outlet Mall. This is a huge market with variety of things and there are nearly 500 shops selling watches, clothes, shoes, purses, sunglasses, night wear, mobile phones, electronics just to name a few. Please note that, Thepprasit market is not a place for branded items you will find a lot replica goods, either made in Thailand or China. Opening times are 7.00pm to 10.00pm and only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.

-       Pattaya Floating Market: – Is located on Sukhumvit road, close to Chaiyapruek road on the outskirts of Pattaya and it opens daily from 10.00am to 9.00pm. The market is purposely built for tourism attraction selling souvenirs, wooden carvings, Thai herbs, silk, cloth weaving and many others goods from around Thailand.

This is a traditional style floating market divided into four different areas each representing a different region of Thailand. Cultural performances take place here daily from Martial arts to Thai classical dancing and Water boxing.

-       Soi Buakaow market: – This market is located on Pattaya Thai road, Soi 22 (just off South Pattaya Road) 5 minutes from walk from Pattaya second road.

This market is a great place to spend a day shopping. Here you can experience a real Thai market with smells, sights and sounds.

-    Talad Nut: – This market is located on Soi Buakaow, Pattaya Thai road, Soi

22 and opens daily from 17.00. This is a general market selling bags, clothes, flowers, leather goods, fresh fruits, vegetables, cooked food and many more.

Walking street night market: – It is located on walking street and opens daily from 18.00-02.00. Here you stall but most of them are set up at night with a selection of souvenirs, clothes, shoes, bags and many more. This market is located in walking street which one of the busiest and most popular areas of the town because of the many bars, restaurants, cabaret shows and clubs.

Nakua fish matket: - It can be found next to Nakua beach in north Pattaya and it opens daily from 05.00-09.00. This market has a large selection of seafood.

Tapong fruit market: – This market is located near the TAT and Or Bor Tor office in Rayong. It opens from early morning until 19.00. The market is famous for fresh Local fruit and it is also the location of the Rayong fruit festival in May and June when the popular fruits are in season.

Rayong daily night market: – located in Rayong, close to the Star Plaza Computer Center and Tesco. Opens daily from 18.00 to mid night.

Ban Phe night market: – Situated in the seaside town of Ban Phe which is famous for its fresh seafood but also sells cooked food and fresh sea food. It opens only on Mondays from 16.00-20.00pm.

Nong Mon: – This market is located on Sukhumvit road, Chon Buri and it is very for seafood and it is close to Bang Saen in Chon Buri.
